Tatmetal, which carries out its environment-oriented works with the responsibility of building a sustainable future, continues to be praised by the authorities for its initiatives. The company which competed with three projects in the Istanbul Carbon Summit that was held for the seventh time this year was granted the “Low Carbon Hero” award.


29.09.2021 - Organized by the Sustainable Production and Consumption Association (SUT-D) and hosted by the Istanbul Technical University (ITU), the Istanbul Carbon Summit which took place for the seventh time this year, with the theme "Green Recovery for a Climate-Resilient Turkey and the Role of Waste and Energy Management" came to a conclusion.

Representatives of various companies and public authorities delivered speeches within the scope of the summit that was held in digital environment this year due to the pandemic measures. Within the scope of the summit, the results of the "Low Carbon Heroes" competition were also announced; companies that successfully handle carbon management in their production and consumption activities, strive for a low carbon economy, and thus aim to increase awareness of the society about the subject, were rewarded in the competition.

In this context, Tatmetal was granted the Low Carbon Hero Award, one of the prestigious awards in the field of Sustainability, with its project titled “Our Children Paint Their Dreams for a Low-Carbon Future”, in which the children of the company’s employees raised awareness with their paintings.

Working with the motto of minimizing its environmental impact for a sustainable future, Tatmetal won the same award also in 2018, the fifth edition of the summit.
